Love this new skirt that my friend Erin bequeathed to me. Gave new life to this odd Michael Kors number I have only worn once. Looks like they were made for each other. Need also to pair it with a black halter with bow at neck...let's go shopping!

Finally found a shootie. Not too much booty! Alright, so the heel is a little higher than I would like and it's back-ordered until November 18 but I should have it in time for Thanksgiving.

Closet Idea

I've been thinking about the "collections" idea and here's where I am today on it....I am going to make collections by color. Then I am going to photograph them individually, make several copies of each photograph so I can then sort them into "occasion". I think this is a great idea now....creating a "deck" of wardrobe options! I am trying to win a dress form on eBay for the photography. Layin gthe outfits on the floor and snapping a pic was a disaster.

Couch to 5K

I thought is was "easy" but I think that's good. I need to mentally get into the routine so easier is better this week. Yoga starts next week. Finishing up my Personal Training sessions too. Renae and I are supposed to run tomorrow morning and the weather is supposed to cooperate!

Damn You EBay!

The new make your best offer feature? Genius! I throw out a lowball offer on an item and damn! sometimes it works! That Ellen Allen Handbag in navy is now mine although I said A) it was too late in the season and 2) I am not spending any money unnecessarily...I am going to break it out for a couple of last few weeks of summer. Trying not to have buyer's remorse and just let it be great. And trying not to think they just came out with the collection in my favorite color, kelly green.

Thoughts on Purging My Closet

I'm not sure if this is a bad idea, or a SPECTACULAR one...over the next several nights, I will be creating my Fall 2010 Collection out of my own wardrobe. The goal is to rethink how to put my things together in a modern way and to expose holes that I can fill thoughtfully. Did I say several nights? I meant weeks, of course. But I am very excited about it. I think it will be fun and keep me out of trouble.

Sadly, I discovered these Ellen Allen's handbags at the end of the season-and then there's my self-imposed spending freeze--a story for another day. The yellow is such a fabulous burst of color but navy appeals to my conservative sensibilities. For now, I will just admire from afar and anxiously await their next collection......
